WHAT DO I DO NOW?
1. Understand that during your life you have stepped outside of God’s plan. Anytime we step outside of God’s plan (or will) it is called sin. ”For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23)
2. Understand that the cost, or consequence, of stepping outside of God’s plan is eternal death apart from God. (“For the wages of sin is death….” Romans 6:23a)
3. Realize that God does not want anyone to be separated from Him. This is why God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the cost of your sin for you. (“For God demonstrated his love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8)
4. Believe that Jesus Christ was God’s perfect Son sent from heaven to die for you. Believe that He rose from the grave, conquering death, to give you eternal life in God’s presence. (“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23b)
5. Accept Christ’s sacrifice for you. Ask Him to forgive you for the times you’ve stepped outside of God’s plan. Invite Jesus into your life to continually guide and direct you as you try to live in God’s plan. (“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9)
If you have never prayed the prayer for salvation, pray the following prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and have done things I shouldn’t have done. I am so sorry. I repent of doing them and want to have a changed life. Please come into my heart and life and make me the kind of person You want me to be. I give my life to You totally. I mean this with all of my heart. I now belong to You and want to live my life for You, filled with your Holy Spirit. Please use my life in your Kingdom to help people. Thank you, God. Amen.”
If you prayed that prayer, please contact us and let us know through our prayer and healing area.
Just as we delight with you, know that the angels in heaven are having a mighty celebration in your honor. Luke 15:7 says, “I tell you in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
WHAT DO I DO NEXT?
Get involved in a good church and a Bible Study that teach you about God and encourage you to stay close to the Lord. It is too hard to do it by yourself. We all need each other. Read the Bible and pray every day, asking God to speak to you and direct your life.
