Starting in 2005, Betty Swann Ministry teams began feeding and clothing 60 orphans in a slum in Nairobi, Kenya. Many of these children had come directly off living and eating off the street and were all ages–from 5 to 13 years old. Their parents could not afford to keep them or were addicted to drugs and alcohol. These children got food and tea at the church and asked if they could spend the night off the streets. From that time on, an orphanage rental building grew to a very large orphanage for 100 kids in 2015. We have fed them hundreds of meals, paid for their education, and even sent some on to college. Lives have been forever changed, leaders have been made and the influence goes on and on.
